Born on February 12, 2000, at the renowned Al Shaqab Stud in Qatar, Marwan Al Shaqab was bred from an exceptional pedigree. His sire, Gazal Al Shaqab, was already recognized as one of the breed’s most influential stallions, while his dam, Little Liza Fame, brought together some of the finest American Arabian bloodlines. This combination produced a colt whose quality was evident from an early age.

Marwan quickly attracted international attention during his debut show season. As a yearling, he earned the title of Champion Colt at the Qatar International Arabian Horse Championships and went on to capture the World Champion Colt title, demonstrating the exceptional type, balance, and presence that would become his trademark.

His rise continued in 2002 when he achieved one of the most impressive

accomplishments in Arabian horse showing. During a single season, Marwan

won the All Nations Cup Champion Colt, European Champion Colt,

and World Champion Colt titles, completing what many enthusiasts refer to as

the Arabian “Triple Crown” of European championships. These victories firmly

established him as one of the most celebrated young stallions of his era.

 

Following his success in Europe, Marwan continued his career in the United States under the guidance of renowned trainer Michael Byatt. His career added further prestigious victories, including the title of U.S. National Champion Junior Stallion, a championship he won unanimously and later repeated, confirming that his appeal crossed continents and judging systems alike.

In                                                                      2008 he reached another historic milestone when he won the title of World Champion                                                              Senior Stallion in Paris, one of the highest honors in the Arabian horse world. The                                                                      same year, he was crowned All Nations Cup Champion Stallion, further strengthening                                                              his reputation as one of the breed’s elite representatives.

 

Yet remarkable as his show career was, Marwan Al Shaqab’s greatest contribution would come through his offspring.
