The Birth of Michałów Stud
Michałów Stud was officially established in 1953, making it considerably younger than Janów Podlaski. However, its roots can be traced to the post-World War II rebuilding of Polish horse breeding. The stud inherited horses from the Arabian breeding program at Klemensów, a farm near Zamość that had housed Arabian horses since 1947. When the decision was made to relocate the program, Michałów was selected as the new home for the herd.

Beyond Arabian Horses
Although best known for Arabians, Michałów is not exclusively an Arabian horse farm.
The stud also maintains breeding programs for Anglo-Arabians, Appaloosas, and Shetland ponies, while operating successful dairy cattle programs. These additional activities contribute to the overall operation of the farm and reflect its broader agricultural role within Poland.
