Bred by Ariela Arabians in Israel, Al Maraam emerged as one of the most influential Straight Egyptian stallions of his era. Combining the celebrated blood of Imperial Imdal and The Vision HG, he enjoyed an impressive international show career before establishing himself as a sire whose impact would be felt throughout the global Straight Egyptian community. 

His name, often translated as“The Passion,” proved fitting for a horse whose influence would extend far beyond the show ring and into some of the most respected breeding programs of the modern era.

A Pedigree Rich in Egyptian Heritage

Foaled in 1998, Al Maraam was bred by Ariela Arabians and represented an exceptional blend of elite Straight Egyptian bloodlines. He was sired by Imperial Imdal, one of the most influential Straight Egyptian stallions of the twentieth century, and out of The Vision HG, a mare carrying the celebrated blood of Thee Desperado, The Minstril, and TheEgyptianPrince. 

His pedigree united several of the most respected Egyptian families, bringing together the influence of Ansata Imperial, Ansata Ibn Sudan, Morafic, Thee Desperado, and other breed-shaping horses whose impact continues to resonate in modern breeding. 

The combination produced a stallion recognized for his Arabian expression, elegance, athleticism, and unmistakable presence.

Making His Mark on the International Stage

Al Maraam began attracting attention at an early age and quickly established himself among the leading Straight Egyptian horses of his generation.

His most notable achievements included:

• All Nations Cup Reserve Junior Champion (1999). 

• Reserve at the European Championship (1999). 

• Top Five at the World Championship in Paris (1999). 

• Champion at Towerlands, United Kingdom (2001). 

• European Champion (2001). 

• Israeli Reserve National Champion Stallion (2006). 

These accomplishments established Al Maraam as one of the most respected Straight Egyptian stallions competing internationally during the early years of the twenty-first century. 

A Stallion Who Reproduced Excellence

                                                       As impressive as his show career was, Al Maraam's greatest contribution came through                                                             his offspring. His ability to consistently transmit type, balance, movement, and classical                                                            Arabian character quickly earned the respect of breeders. By 2003, he was already the sire                                                           of three of the four Junior Champions and Reserve Junior Champions at the Israeli                                                                     National Championships. Just two years later, he repeated that success by siring three                                                                 champions and one reserve champion at the first Israeli Egyptian Event. These                                                                              accomplishments demonstrated not only the quality of Al Maraam himself, but his remarkable ability to reproduce that quality in the next generation. 

Among his many sons and daughters were horses that continued to strengthen his reputation as one of the leading Straight Egyptian sires of his generation. His offspring became established in breeding programs across Europe, the Middle East, and North America.

The Beginning of an Influential Family

One of Al Maraam's most important contributions was his role in establishing a family line that would produce several influential stallions in the years that followed.

As the first foal produced by The Vision HG, he became the foundation of a particularly successful branch of her family. Through this line came notable horses such as Al Ayal AA, Al Lahab, and Al Raheeb AA, all of whom helped extend the influence of both The Vision HG and Al Maraam throughout the Straight Egyptian world. 

Through these descendants, Al Maraam's impact reached far beyond his own generation, influencing breeding programs that continue to shape the modern Straight Egyptian Arabian horse.

In 2014, Al Maraam received the Israeli WAHO Trophy Award, a recognition that reflected not only his individual accomplishments but also his broader contribution to the Arabian breed. 

His importance lies in the combination of several achievements rarely found in a single horse: international show success, proven breeding ability, and the establishment of a family line that continues to flourish today.
